Istra is the largest and most unique Croatian peninsula, which the Adriatic Sea has deeply affected the soil, bathing its jagged coastline with its thousand inlets and islets. The city of Pula is located in the extreme south of the Irtrian peninsula and is an important harbor.
It offers beautiful natural landscapes and the most important monuments is the Arena (Roman amphitheater) which also acts as a symbol for the city. Pula is approx. 100 km from Trieste and is close to the Brioni Island National Park.
