Brass band music holds a special place in Austria, and particularly in Salzburg. The Salzburg Brass Band Association has around 8,500 active members organised into 147 bands, which play everything from traditional marching music to modern, symphonic repertoire.
We would be delighted to welcome brass band colleagues from other Austrian states and other European countries to Salzburg on Saturday, June 5th, 2027, to spend the day together and exchange our cultures and traditions.
The programme includes:
– a grand parade through Salzburg’s old town in the morning
– a concert for each music group in the Great University Hall on Saturday afternoon
– Closing ceremony for all participants with dinner, music and dancing
